No Splitting Headache - Hopefully!

Plans to split the league's Saturday division into two in 2013 are gathering pace - even in mid-December!
Donnington Wood are the latest club to express an interest in joining the eight-a-side structure next year, following hot on the heels of news of Chelmarsh officially applying to join the Saturday action.
And if the split goes ahead it could lead to the first ever play-off game in Mid Shropshire. That's because league officials are working up plans for automatic relegation / promotion between the two divisions of the teams who finish bottom and top respectively, but with a play-off featuring the teams who finish second from bottom and second from top.
Two Saturday divisions of eight teams would give 14 league fixtures, meaning a slightly later start to the programme and Saturdays left free for league competitions to try and attract more entries.
