Soggy Start

Heavy rain disrupted many of the preliminary round ties in the HARRIS CUP on the evening of Wednesday, April 18.

Clubs are urged to get them completed ASAP so that the first round proper can be played in full on May 23ocompetitions secretary.

Of the ties that were completed as scheduled, holders St Georges (Premier, -20) beat Sir John Bayley (Div 1, +6) and  St Georges (Div 1, scratch) saw off Trench (Div 2, +19). The two Dragons teams will now meet in the next round. 

Don’t forget there is one ASHTON CUP preliminary round tie on Thursday, April 19. It’s Horsehay (+7) v Wrockwardine Wood (Div5, +15). All other teams that have entered have byes.
