The draws for the last two league cup finals of the 2013 season - the Ashton Shield and Harris Cup -and previews are now available to see on the relevant page of the competitions section of this site.
Wrockwardine Wood is the venue for the showpiece Harris Cup final on Saturday, September 7, between holders St Georges and their Premier rivals Newport (6.30pm). This is a repeat of last year's final and league officials are hoping to at least match the 200 crowd that saw the Dragons win by 20 shots at Donnington in 2012.
A full round up of the league's September management committee meeting will appear here shortly - but one pressing issue is the Junior DIvision Day at Donnington Wood on Sunday, September 8.
Firstly the start time has been put back to 11am - and secondly orgniser Rob Burroughs (07901-229623) is desperate to recruit "2 or 3" more under-18 bowlers to go with the 30 he has booked in so that he has the perfect format of eight four-a-side teams competing in round robin groups. The Jack Jones Trophy will go to the winners with £90 in prizemoney to be divided between the sides that get to the knockout stages.
AND FINALLY . . . calling all Division 3 teams. Please turn to the competitions section of this site to read about your extra, end of season KO.
