Two Meetings Into One Will Go!

The league's monthly meeting for March, a gathering of the Management Committee on Tuesday the 4th at the Bayley Club (7.30pm), will be preceded by an quickfire Extraordinary General Meeting.

The EGM has been called at the request of the League’s officers following a meeting on February 10 with delegates from all the clubs about to take part in the launch of the new Thursday Division on April 3.

There's only one item on the Agenda, which is the removal of rule 3 of the Thursday Division rules that were approved at January’s AGM.

That rule states: “There will be no re-arranged match other than for inclement weather or a bereavement.”

Re-arranged games in the Thursday Division would then be covered by the league’s existing rules, ie Rules for League Matches rule 14.

There is still one late vacancy for a 14th team to be filled on Thursdays, a space league officials hope to fill at the Tuesday meeting.

That meeting is also the cut off point for the following clubs to return their Club Information Sheets for 2014:

Albrighton, Broseley, Chelmarsh, Highley, Maddocks, Madeley Cricket Club, Sinclair, Sir John Bayley, Stockton and Worfield
