Warning From Wenlock - And Bowring

Much Wenlock's league delegate Bob Mumford has been in touch to advise that parking is going to be an issue at his club from the start of the coming season.

No cars will be allowed to park on the sports field beside the green in future so all visitors MUST PARK on either Station Road or Linden Avenue and then walk up the path under the trees to the bowling club. And a torch may not go amiss either!

Bob will reiterate the parking problem at the league's April executive meeting on Tuesday the 1st at the Bayley Club (7.30pm), when League and BCGBA Handbooks will be distributed.

April 1 is also the day that Shifnal BC are due to officially receive their validation as a Learning Destination for the Children's University - the first bowling club in Shropshire and possibly Britain to receive this award.

Bowring secretary Karen Smith also advises: "There will be limited parking at the Bowring for about 5 weeks while the council create a 'grasscrete' overspill car park behind the tennis court (on what was the grassed area). This should then improve parking."
