Over-60 Merit D-day - And History?

posted Apr 28, 2019, 12:39 PM by Malcolm Fletcher   [ updated Apr 28, 2019, 12:45 PM ]
Entries for this season's Over-60 Merit need to be with competition secretary Phil King by Saturday 5th May. They cost just £3 per bowler

It will be played on Saturday 18th May - at a venue yet to be confirmed - with an 11am start time.

And League officers are hoping that history will be made in this event this year . . .

"The Over-60 Merit is open to men AND women but has yet to attract a lady bowler in the three years that the super Ray & Jeff Hutchinson Trophy has been at stake," said secretary Malcolm Fletcher.

"So it would be great if it happened this year - and Elsie Pugh, for one, was a key member of the MSBL team that won the vets inter league last year!"

Tony Roche of Sir John Bayley won the title in 2018
