posted Jul 18, 2018, 12:16 PM by Malcolm Fletcher
As outlined to delegates of member clubs represented at the League's July executive meeting, the SCGBA has issued an urgent appeal for help to try and fill a key position in 2019.

County association secretary Mo Corley explained in an email to all affiliated leagues: "Finding a replacement Safeguarding Officer for next year was discussed at the latest county executive meeting.

"We must have someone in place by the AGM in February.

"I was instructed to contact Paul Ashmore, the BCGBA Safeguarding Officer, to find out the minimum qualifications that an Association Safeguarding Officer must obtain and he informed me that attending the course which he will be running on 7th October 2018 at Meole Brace BC ( click here to go to SCGBA website) would suffice -  but added there are other courses available too.

"Can you please inform all your clubs and your league Safeguarding Officer to see if they would be interested in the vacancy and to contact me to apply.

"And can you please inform all your clubs and your league Safeguarding Officer about the course at Meole Brace. Places on the course are limited and must be paid for in advance, more details on the website."
