All gone . . . that's the £7,145 grant from Sport England to buy new, modern coaching equipment for coaches to use to try and attract newcomers to the sport.

County Development Officer Paul Wilson used the last of the money to purchase five sets of mini goal posts which were used for the first time at a session at Whitchurch's Chester Road club.

Now Mid Shropshire clubs are urged to contact Pauline and arrange their own coaching sessions if they want to at least try boost their membership numbers - rather than just sitting back, accepting falling numbers and withdrawing teams from divisions as a result .

She has a total of 70 sets of bowls and 72 practice jacks at her disposal, plus hoops, targets, cones etc etc - and now the mini goal posts.

Any club wanting to organise a coaching session or to borrow the equipment should contact Pauline by email (porinkan@gmail.com) or by calling 07746-224824.
