Merit Countdown - 4 Days to Go . . .

posted Jun 26, 2018, 12:19 PM by Malcolm Fletcher
There are two past winners in the 16-strong field counting down to Saturday (30th June) and the League's Senior Merit finals day at Allscott Heath (1pm start).

2017 champion Paul Reeves may not be back to defend the title, but 2012 winner Jamie King (Bowring) and 2008 star Paul Beer have both qualified to have another crack at it.

And Beer is just one of five St Georges bowlers who will be chasing the Merit crown on what is forecast to be another sunshine day.

In fact it promises to be a bumper weekend for Mid Shropshire bowlers as they have an open invitation to take part in a charity 'draw-for-partners' doubles day in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support at Donnington Wood on the Sunday, for which they must report by 10.30am (see earlier post for full details!).

The full finals day draw for the Senior Merit is attached to this post.
