Club Welfare Officers Get Call To Safeguarding Course

posted Jul 30, 2019, 11:57 AM by Malcolm Fletcher
All Shropshire affiliated clubs have been urged to encourage their welfare officers to go on a safeguarding course

And to help them achieve the goal, the British association’s safeguarding/welfare officer is booked to come to the county in August to run such a course.

“Paul Ashmore has suggested a date he will be in the Shropshire area to hold a course and it is Saturday, August 24 (11am to 2pm), at a location to be confirmed,” said Juliette Swire, secretary of the SPS Whitchurch League which is organising the event.

“The cost is £15 but it will only take place if 15 to 20 Safeguarding Officers attend - and it is strongly recommended that all club Safeguarding Officers attend this course.

“Please forward your name and club name to me (email secretarywdbl@gmail.com) so that I can put a list together.”

This potential course is open to all clubs in the county - Mid Shropshire included - so don't miss out . . .
