Second Time Lucky?

Mid Shropshire big guns St Georges have a second shot at Shropshire team knockout glory this season tomorrow (Saturday 10th August).

The Dragons take on Meole Brace in the County Cup final on the old green at Prees (6.30pm start), eager to recover from last weekend's Shropshire Cup final against Telepost at Whixall.
It’s been 28 long years since Meole Brace last got their hands on the prized Glynn Hill Trophy, but St Georges won it as recently as 2017.

The club's first division stars Paul Beer and Sonya Lucas both played in the Shropshire Cup final defeat and are determined to avoid another dose of final misery.
Saturday’s final pairings – Meole Brace v St Georges:

Will Tarrel v Rob Roden, Scott Moseley v Peter Grimston, Dave Redge v John Cooke, Julian Cooke v Clay Flattley.

Andy Wigginton v Dave King, Jon Lyttle v Michael Wainwright, Mark Thomas v Sonya Lucas, Nigel Bound v Andy Morgan.

Doug Edwards v Tony Rhodes, Will Tyler v Lewis Scott, Martin Middleton v Martin Gaut, Tim Jordan v Paul Beer.
