Preparations for the future of the League started at the July executive meeting.

The minutes from one of the items on the agenda it will read:

"The general secretary said the chairman Sean Round had now confirmed he would be standing down at the 2020 AGM, following in the footsteps of auditor David Winwood.

"His auditor’s role will be taken by Steve Anyon, but clubs were urged to go away, talk to their members and nominate willing and able people who would like to take on the chairmanship – and indeed any other posts that may become vacant next year.

"He pleaded with delegates and their clubs not to leave it to the management to come up with successors . . . "
