MSBL gen sec Malcolm Fletcher said: "From my point of view it was a successful re-launch of the Dave Ellis Shield. "Due to the lateness of the arrangements, it was mainly matches of family or club connections and, despite it being a wet night, everyone seemed to enjoy it and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. "So I intend to stick with the same format next year and have asked Allscott to host it, hopefully in September. "But for now my sincere thanks go to Sinclair (Don Hood, Kerry Millman, Elsie Pugh et al) for all they did - and everyone who took part." |
