History Calling For A Member Club?

posted Mar 3, 2017, 11:49 AM by Malcolm Fletcher
League clubs with two greens have the chance to make history as the first Shropshire hosts of the Midland Alliance championship.

It comes to the county for the first time on Sunday 30th April at 10am and the SCGBA are searching for a venue.

"We are looking for clubs to nominate themselves to host the competition," said a coujnty associatiojnh spokesperson.

"You will need two greens and be able to cater for eight teams with regards to providing refreshments all day and ample car parking. The event is two groups of 4 with a final between the two group winners, so will go onto about 6 o’clock in the evening.

If you would like to nominate your club for this event, then please email Mo Corley on mocorl@aol.com"

And the added bonus is that Shropshire will have two teams taking part, hopefully packed with young and fringe players who did not make the county senior team last year.
