Junior Development - The Next Step . . .

posted Nov 6, 2016, 11:57 AM by Malcolm Fletcher
Anyone from any member club who has an interest in the League's Junior Development  plans - and how they could possible apply it to work for their club  - is invited to attend an informal meeting on Thursday 10 November at 7.30pm at Wellington's Sir John Bayley Club.

The aim is to discuss and decide a plan for next year's junior coaching programme, promoted by the League and using the Junior Development Policy.

This policy has been developed over the last 18 months and was successfully applied at an After School Bowls Club at Hadley Learning Community using the green on the campus which is played on by Charlton and with Rob Burroughs as Club Leader.

League officials  are keen to see the link with HLC and Charlton continue, but are also eager to encourage the new Sinclair Coaching Club just up the road in Ketley.

And any other Mid Shropshire club in need of a helping hand to set up a junior programme to attract new young members, via a school link that has proved so successful for Shifnal, are sure to find attending this meeting beneficial.
