League Cure For FIrst Aid Fears?

Mid Shropshire officers are still waiting to hear if member clubs and their bowlers want them to organise a First Aid training day  - that could save someone's life - ahead of the 2017 playing season.

Webmaster and former League chairman Steve Wall made the original request for the League to consider promoting such training - and the Albrighton stalwart and Karen Smith of Bowring have obtained quotes for the costs of such courses.

"The reason for requesting this through the league to organise is purely for costing, which may be cheaper through larger numbers," explained Steve.

So if any bowler of a member club is interested in receiving First Aid training they are urged to make contact with their club delegate ahead of the AGM on Tuesday 31 January - or contact general secretary Malcolm Fletcher direct.

"This is the time of year when clubs are holding their annual meetings so it's the perfect time for their members to be asked if they want the League to try and arrange this for them," said Malcolm.

NB: Telford & Wrekin Training Services are running a free drop in session to teach emergency resuscitation procedures on Thursday 26 January at Southwater Library in Telford Town Centre. between 10an and 4pm.
