Clubs Offered Help To Organise Practice

Member clubs having difficulty in organising and allocating practice times - following the strict guidelines laid down by the BCGBA for the phase one of re-opening of greens – have been offered a helping hand.

Former League vice-chairman Steve Roberts, now chairperson of Wrockwardine Wood, has set up a brilliant system for doing just that at his club, via the Wrockites website.

And he has offered to help any MSBL club that needs some advice on setting up such a system – just by contacting him!

At WW, club members who want to return to the club’s two greens use a booking system on the website to book 90 minute slots - and they have to provide all own equipment and also have to have paid membership for year too, so that they meet all the guidelines set out.

Secretary Sophie Meredith said: “We have clear guidelines and members must agree to these at time of booking a slot. Club management have put measures in place and it is down to the individual to adhere to them.”
