The League’s quest to try and rescue something from this coronavirus-hit season has cleared another significant hurdle.

County safeguarding officer Phil Scott has given the thumbs up to the Risk Assessment produced for the ‘MSBL 2020 Relaunch Singles’ at Edgmond on Saturday 5th September (10.30am start).

Said Phil: “Had a good look at your assessment and plans and all seems in order - very well organised and hopefully all will go to plan."

Entry details will be sent direct by email to all member clubs with teams in divisions 1 to 6 today – because, to be eligible to enter, a bowler must played in at least 12 games in divisions 1-2-3-4-5-6 last year (2019) and have paid his or her clubs subs this year.

The choice of venue is down to the fact that we can keep control of numbers at the club (ie no more than 30) and, to try and reach every single Mid Shropshire bowler, full entry details of the comp will be put on the League’s website and Facebook group on Friday.

And if there is sufficient demand, there will be further comps (again limited to 16 entries) on the two following Saturdays – 12th and 19th September.

If not, entries will also be opened up to bowlers who played at least 12 games in the Thursday Division last year.
