Don't Give Up Hope . . .

The officers may have put the League into a 'summer hibernation' but there is still plenty going on behind the scenes.

They are keeping in regular contact and, despite having abandoned all hope of usual divisional fixtures this year due to the pandemic, they are still hopeful of organising some competitive action.

The details will be finalised in July - IF there is no second wave of the virus, the lockdown restrictions continue to be eased and phase 3 of the BCGBA's green reopening schedule can be applied.

Competition secretary Phil King said: "I can run 3 or 4 comps, possibly in August / September - singles, doubles, triples and possibly a 4-a-side team event.

"But will all depend on restrictions and the clubs."
